O.K. you have the latest client.

Start the client from a konsole (terminal) with the command: cnr

Any error will be output to the konsole. It will give a better idea of what exactly the issue is.

This is what came out:

I'm having the same problem, using Ubuntu 7.10 with the latest version of the CNR client. Any suggestions?

Hi,

I have a similar problem (CNR fails to initialize). I'm using Freespire 2.0.8 (CNR client: 0.2.3201)

The message I get after runing CNR from the shell:

timer: 1440Debugrows in installed package model 0
Warning" "
DebugCreating InstallComplete
DebugdistSnapVersion: 0
DebugDoing full parse
DebugDownlaoding: http://packages.cnr.com/data/dist-snap-index/dist-arch/3/index-3-19.xml.gz to /tmp//qt_temp.TJ6623
DebugConnection refused while attempting to download the Distribution Index

What OS & version and what build of the CNR Client is installed (from the command prompt run: apt-cache policy cnr-client)???

My error the first time.

I ran the command and recieved " Installed: 0.2.3201
Candidate: 0.2.3201
Version table:

0.2.3201 0

100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
Also ran cnr, receive:

DebugLighting up. OS version is "2.6.20-16-lowlatency" , host address is "" , client version is "CNR Client 0.2.3201"

DebugFreespire OS found
DebugFound dist 3
DebugDetected Freespire 2.0 which is supported by CNR

DebugDoing full parse

DebugNo server set to connect to while attempting to download the Distribution Index

OS is Freespire 2.0.3
