Do I have to re-load -CNR will not work because of DPKG error

I cannot upgrade or download anything via CNR. I get CNR rec`d a dpkg error - so I need HELP

Have you tried

sudo dpkg --configure -a

followed by

sudo apt-get install -f

?

Thanks - I just tried it - still getting the DPKG error so I cannot download from CNR
