Virus...

I am crashing occasionally on the internet, asking for the OS to investigate the cause, and it informs me that it can neither track nor repair the problem. As well, I am unable to cut and paste the message provided. When I bring up the internet again and choose restore, the 'crash URL' does not affect me.

My browser is FF 2.0.0.6 and the OS is the latest Freespire.

I do not know what 'anti' is compatible with the OS, if anything.

I would also like to eliminate pop-ups, yet again I do not know what is compatible with the OS.

I am having trouble understanding this forum thus have not been able to review anything else similar, I've simply read a lot which did not relate.

Thanks for reading,
Spoons

What versions of Flash and Java are you using?

Neither.

Will the OS accept outside virus/worm protection?

Popups can be blocked from within FF settings. Don't worry too much about maleware on a Freespire OS, its not popular enough to garner that kind of attention.

All,

My email was not linking, hence the long delay.

1- I am guessing the Internet is shutting me down. I can open a new site and lose all. When I open my home site and do not use start over that same URL opens without a problem. I use FF.

2- I have major difficulties with Konquerer, not being able to save what I post without retaining problems. Where do I go to discuss this?

Thanks
JB

You can discuss the Konqueror issues on that product page or in here, either one.

Thanks for the response. My spell check is not functioning so beware.

Often when I cut and paste I get multiple periods at the end of paragraphs. What went wrong?..

I also am plagued with sentences which are separated by ... (omitting unecessary information) where the periods somehow are formed too closely together and I must backtrack to locate them in order to save what I have pasted.

There are always indentations on paragraphs where a word in one of the lines is indented, maybe a few.

Sometimes after correcting both tha save function tells me it will be done in error. I guess I am saving information which has not been posted properly yet I have no idea how to correct it. I have learned that if I save multiplle stories on one file The first must 'be clean'. If the bos pops up after save identifying it as containg problems, it will not permit me to reopen the file. If I save a 'clean post' first, I can ad the problem posts afterwards and not have difficulties reopening the file.

If my problems are conducive to this software, what are my alternatives?

Sincerely,
JB
